Elf Island – Funded by Angels

January 6, 2009 · 1 Comment

There is a nice story today in the Atlanta Journal Constitution about local online gaming company, Elf Island. Craig Kronenberger, Elf Island CEO, visited with Atlanta Technology Angel members last Spring and subsequently received funding and ongoing mentoring from members of ATA. I believe the company has been entirely funded by GA and Ohio angel investors to date.

Good job, Craig!

Elf Island has been up and running for a while now. As a fan, I’m excited to be a part of so much good. We’re on our fifth GoodQuest now, helping make healthy food available to families in California.

I’ve enjoyed the quests (well at least the result of the quests) we’ve done so far. We just finished a GoodQuest that will plant over 2,000 trees in Niger to help hold back the encroaching desert AND provide food for people there AND a job for the breadwinners so they don’t have to leave their families to farm elsewhere.

I enjoy doing my part to keep my fellow fans at elfislandfansite up to date with the quest status and other fun new things that Elf Island puts out for us. I don’t know if Elf Island is making the kind of profit yet that it hopes to, but I sure am glad they are open and I’m glad for the opportunity to do some good while having fun!
