Angel Group Syndication 2009

January 5, 2009 · Leave a Comment

Just got off conference call discussing angel group syndication meetings for 2009. In a syndication meeting, typically 15-25 regional angel groups gather to review companies from a particular region of the USA. Most of the participating angel groups are associated with the Angel Capital Association. Companies presenting at these syndication meetings have a chance to present to multiple angel groups. Why this is important:

- An efficient process–One meeting–multiple angel groups.

- The ability of larger angel rounds

These syndications have been informal in the past but as the success of these meetings has grown, the meetings have become much more organized. Here are dates of of the 1st Q, 2009 meetings.

Northwest Regional Meeting 2/24/09 Seattle, WA

Southwest Regional Meeting,  3/23/09 Tucson, AZ

Northeast Regional Meeting, 3/2009 Lexington, MA

Southeast Regional Meeting, 4/14/08, Atlanta, GA  (just prior to the 2009 ACA Summit)
